If you are kind enough to read my humble blog you may have realized that I have a propensity for doing things the hard way. As one man's trash is another man's treasure, one woman's joy is another woman's worst nightmare. Some people think I am crazy.
I love food projects. What is a food project you may wonder? For me it's fun things like making marshmallows or egg noodles. Family collaborations like our house cured bacon, tomato basil sauce and The Ultimate Burger Project of 2009. Adventures in olive curing. Oooooo, cheese making.
I want to share my joy with you and make you a fellow crazy. To get you started I am excited to do my first giveaway. Jam It, Pickle It, Cure It and Other Cooking Projects by Karen Solomon. Yaaaayyyyyy!
Leave a comment or just say hello within the week. Next Saturday, given my limited computer skills, I'll draw a name out of a Trader Joe's bag.
Wouldn't you love to have this book?
Welcome to Crazy Town.

Yes, I would love to have this book, but only if it gives me the expertise you have. Oh, and I got the Nourish class list. I think I may have to try cheese making.
Any new pictures of Junie?
Had a great time at the canning class. Looking forward to using the green tomatoes from the garden to make the chutney.
well....you know that i'm crazy. :)
Shoot...."lazy" is me, Lesly. Sorry....
I would love to win this book. I would like to do as many cooking projects as you do. Does the book come with a "Pick Jen's brain" button? :) Could use that. I wish I got the schedule that had the canning class - missed that one. Got the new schedule - hope to do the Cheese Making Workshop.
I am just *visiting* crazy town...taking the next train out.
If I win the book, you will save on shipping!!
D
Please note: Inhabitants of the yellow house are ineligible to win this fabulous prize. ;)
a) I love the previous entry of the smiling beer! So true!
b) I would love to go to simpler times of canning, making my own cheese (must sign up for class!), my own yogurt (see soule mama's blog). All "hard" things, but the peaceful yummy outcome is just too delicious!
I'm on my own crazy train; hoping for a more domesticated stop...
I would be
"pickled" pink if I won this!!!
